CBMS Young Innovator Award
This award, sponsored by the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS), recognizes the contributions of an individual in the early career stage of their independent career. Typically this will be within 10 years of completing their PhD, but appropriate consideration will be given to those who have taken a career break or followed a different study path.

Nomination Process
Nominations may be made by anyone and must be sent via email to awards@microtas2025.org (self-nominations will be accepted) and must include the following items:
  • Two-page CV for the nominee (indicating the PhD defense and career breaks) with publication list/ research achievements.
  • Letter of recommendation (from nominator) or a letter from the nominee (for self nomination) with the candidate's accomplishments and why the award is deserved.
Deadline for nomination: 31 July 2025

Selection Process
The Award winner will be selected by a committee of individuals consisting of the sponsor, current chair of MicroTAS (or their designate), the previous chair of MicroTAS, member's from CBMS.

Winner Will Receive
  • $2000 Honorarium
  • Certificate recognizing the winner
Awardee will be required to give a short lecture during the conference.
